Angry Can't load to Bios

I have a Giga-byte GA-7DXR+ athalon 1700, 512 mb, fx5200 video, maxtor 20 gig, dvd, cd-rw and a ls-120 (that won't read the superdisk, but that'll be a dif post somewhere)

Hey Ya'll

Hope someones seen this before.

I powered down after a Lan party last night. When I turn my pc on this morning "nothing" my LED's on my fans turn on in my case. I don't get any system deeps(not sure if I've heard then) I do have the led on my mother board. I'ma thinkin its bad carma, when to a PC show the day before and was looking at a new mother board, but I didn't touch any...........hehe (further prof that PC are more like woman then we think). I check all my connection and cause the fans come on proves that the power supply is still good........any suggestion?

hmm

if what TiSwAs said does not work (which it very well may) try looking in your mobo manual for the way to clear the CMOS - there should be a jumper somewhere on the motherboard to do that..just follow the instructions in the manual.

If there happens to be no jumpers or its too complicated, try removing the CMOS battery from the motherboard for say...15 minutes, and putting it back in..

I had a problem very similar to yours(that this fixed) where it was obviously getting good power, but for some reason it was just not even starting the POST and giving a total blank (orange led) on the monitor. How exactly the bios would get messed up, im not sure.. but its a very good possibility.

Hopefully that will help ya.

Well......

Well I got it all fixed much like my wife, I replaced both of them. Works out better for me. I got a faster pc and a younger friend with benifits.......lol.

Highly recommend both to anyone and everyone.
