nicklock

I am trying to use a hardrive selector called nicklock. One drive is win98se and the other is win xp pro. When the key on nicklock is turned to either left or right that drive will boot. Works fine when win98se is selected drive. When win xp pro is drive is selected it will boot but within a minute xp says it has deteced new hardware and must reboot. After rebboting it says the same same thing again. When I disconnect, from nicklock, my win 98se drive the message goes away. I have tried contacting nicklock techsupport but they have never replied. I have tried removing the 98se drive from within windows but all it says is that I must reboot for the change to take effect. When it does reboot I get the same message windows has found new hardware and must reboot. Can anyone help me?

Try replacing it with a switchdrive, it may solve the problem due to it not messing with jumper settings. It works with serial ata drives too.
