Question Input Not Supported

Please .. somebody .. hasn't anyone ever had the problem I've had .. I sure could use some help

I have an S-video cable running from my video card to my tv. I use my tv screen sometimes to work on my computer and projecting my desktop to the tv makes things just a little larger.

My problem is ... when I reboot the computer, I have to unplug the S-video cable from my computer. If I don't .. I get a message on my monitor screen "input not supported".

Which also brings up a second problem that having to reconnect each time I reboot my computer, I have to go into my settings for the video and tell the card I want to view in two places.

Anyone had this problem or even know how to solve it??

Video card .. Sapphire Radeon 9200 Atlantis .. 128M

are you using a s-video-to-rca adapter to connect to your tv? you are getting that message because you have told your system that it is dealing with two monitors and your cards are not dual-monitor capable - you might need to upgrade to a dual-output card or an ati all-in-wonder. dual output only if your tv has a dvi input, all-in-wonder otherwise (it isa designed for output to a tv as well as a monitor)

Radeon 9550 problem on booting

TV OUT connector is RCA. I connect it to the video RCA connector of TV.
The card supports monitor and TV simultaneously when I'm in Windows. I use the Catalyist Control Center (CCC) program from ATI.
Even more, if I boot with the TV connected I can see all the booting process in the TV (I mean the BIOS setup screen, the first Windows logo and so on) but not in the monitor (only the floating message "Input Not Supported") until the Windows desktop appears. From this point, everything goes right and I can see both screens: monitor and TV.
The only problem is that if I want to access the BIOS I have two ways:
1. To disconnect the TV OUT.
2. To watch the TV on booting what is very difficult because the TV set is in another room.
The cuestion is: Itīs not possible to configure the card (may be some jumper) to solve the problem?. ATI only told me what I know: how to configure the card from the CCC under Windows but I think the problem has nothing to do with the OS since appears before Windows starts.

Thank you, oldtimer, but once I have PC and TV connected (even if the TV set is completely off) the problem appears no matter the ATI choices. I need to disconnect them (I mean physically, removing at least one of the cable ends) to solve it. I think is not a software problem but a hardware problem.
