Rom V Writer

Hello there.

I have a samsung CD rom and a sony CD writer.
They work well when either of them is connected to the system.
But when both of them are connected together, only CD ROM works.
Please tell me how should I make them work together.

i will assume they are both internal drives, if so they have jumpers on the back that need to be set correctly. set the cd writer to the master position and the cd rom to slave. the master should be on the very last connector of the ribbon cable then plug the slave on the middle.

NO.
They are normal.

I'm surprized they have no jumpers as shown in PTO's post. You will need to remove the drives and find a way to set them master/slave.
