windows media player 10 sound problem

i am having real problems listening to music through wmp 10 as the sound is only coming out of 1 speaker but the sound is perfectly fine when using other media players ie. apple itunes player does anyone know how to fix this problem as it is very annoying

if you have the graphic equalizer enabled make sure the balance is set to 0. which is exactly the middle of the slide bar.
