computer crashed, HELP!

hey guys,

My computer crashed while i was playing a game and now it wont boot up. i get absolutely nothing on the monitor, no signal. it wont even show me any cmos stuff or memory check stuff, i get nothing.

now here's the weird thing. i believe i've checked all my hardware. on a friends computer i checked my hard drive and Ram, his computer booted just fine with my stuff. at a computer store i had my video card and power supply checked, all okay. My friend brought over his cpu, we popped it in and nothing. i bought 2 new motherboards and a power supply and again nothing. ive been trying to boot with just the hd set as master, ram, cpu, and vid card and it still doesn't work. i even tried a different case, cause someone mentioned a possible grounding problem. there is no hardware left for me to switch out. i also tried a different power source (direct to another outlet incase surge protector had anything to do with it.) we put my friends computer back together and it runs. we put mine back together and there's still no signal. For once i'm totally stumped. i feel like ive built this computer over and over, switching out components one by one and have never got even a blip on the screen. yes, the monitor is good, and i dont overclock. any ideas you guys might have will be much appreciated. meanwhile i have a lot of hardware to get refunds on. hehe.

thanks in advance.

Did you try your friends CPU in one of the new motherboards? It could be that you cooked your CPU and motherboard at the same time. If that is thew case, I'd look real hard at your CPU's heatsink/fan.
