problems with epox motherboard

This could probably be posted in both hard ware and software but I will start here.

I suggested and finished building a computer for a friend:

epox 8rda3+
amd athlon xp 3000+ w/400 FSB
512 megs ram (mwave brand i think)
gforce 5700le 128 meg video AGP
USR modem
Liteon 52x32x52 cdrom
IBM/Hitachi 160 gig sata drive

*WINDOWS XP PRO W/SP1*

This was a barebones purchase so all I installed was the video, hard drive and modem. Then I stated installing software. about 2 hours into install system crashed with an irq fault error and rebooted. it would do this about every 2 hours. eventually it got worse and i decide to hose drive and start over. problem was system could never get past the format during install. Finally rma'ed motherboard and cpu, which was replaced. I am still having problems. My error list has gotten bigger though. I also get PFN_LIST_CORRUPT errors as well as physical memory dump errors. I have tried a different video card, pulled the modem, removed the sata drive and attempted to run a 10 gig WD IDE drive (twice), replaced cd rom cables, tried different ram, had the cpu and motherboard replaced. turned off sata raid, onboard sound and lan support. I am at a loss. I have flashed the bios and no luck, installed new drivers for everything. At one point system seemed to be fairly stable and I slowly started reinstalling system drivers. Finally installing raid drivers at which point system started crashing again. But, even with raid turned off and different hard drive (ide wd) installed I still have problems.

does any one have any further ideas or has anyone else experienced this problem with epox board? I previously had good experience with 2 epox boards but right now I think they are making trash and I am facing the possibility of replacing board for friend with my own money. I even email epox tech support and most I could get out of them was that configuration should work.
