Angry New Ram Problem!

Ahhhh!

I have a amd athlon 2000+ xp and 512 meg of Kingston DDR PC2700 333mhz ram, I bought another stick of exactly the same ram and installed it, Now I looked in my motherboard manual and It does support 1gig of ram, so I put it in and the POST detects it as 1gig, I get into windows and a have unexpected restarts, windows never stays open for more than 5 minutes - I took the ram out and it all works fine without the new ram in.

I know its probably faulty ram, But Im going to a lan party this weekend and im not sure if I can get to the computer store to get a replacement stick by then, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas! Thanks a lot.

-Josh

even better, did you try swapping the known good stick out, and just run the new stick? alot of motherboards claim to support 1 gig of memory, but microsoft claims stability!!!

And I understand Asus boards are very sensitive in regards to ram.
