Internal wireless card problems on a secure wireless network.

I have IBM Thinkpad with an internal wireless network card, that can't not surf the internet once it is connected to my secure wireless network.

Windows XP Pro
US Robotics wireless router

When the network in unsecure it works fine but, when it is secure it doesn't.
I can see the network but, doesn't pick up a IP address from the router. DHCP is on and I am useing WEP encryption.

I was told that you have to configure the internal card to use the router but,
I am stuck. Help please!
