The problem - My soundcard is not seen as a playback device in sound and audio, in control panel. The selection box is greyed out, and the advanced and properties also. BUT i did have it working a week ago, i tried doing system restore but it diddnt fix it. AND right now it shows it as a recording device and also that theres no problems in device manager with any devices. (except pci device, in system devices - but my soundcard is usb) I have tried reinstalling the drivers/programs and tried ALL the usb connection. I downloaded all the different drivers from the official site.
My set up - Windows xp home version 2002 SP 2, i have an M-audio FASTtrack USB soundcard, i dunno what else i need to tell you... ??!!
oh and when i open volume control for recording volumes, i can change it to playback by going on options -> properties... But advanced options is greyed out. and im running crappy norton - only thing that changed is that i changed the startup menu and i downloaded (NON-PORN) stuff lol but after i checked and deleted viruses and i re-run the programs i deselected for startup ----- my soundcard just failed a full duplex test, but i know for sure that it can record and play audio at the same time and that it has passed this test before.
