Angry Problem with DV 2800 realtime MPEG2 encoder

hey,

I'm new to windows XP, the last OS i had was windows 98. I have an innovison DV 2800 Realtime MPEG2 encoder and it was working fine until i installed windows XP. It found it and asked for the drivers, no problem, but it came up with a window saying that it didnt have some sort of windows xp digital certificate. i clicked on continue with installation and it seemed to install ok but then in the corner of the screen, it has a speech bubble saying that there was a problem installing it and the new hardware may not work properly. when i installed the program to use it, it would say "MPEGl & MPEGll encoder and decoder has encountered a problem and will be shutdown. We are sorry for the inconvenience". ive tried evrything, i've got the latest drivers which are compatible with all windos operating systems, i've re-installed it, moved it from one PCI slot to another, tried it on another computer running windows XP, you name it, ive tried it. if no-one comes up with anything, i'll have to go back to old boring windows 98 so im wondering if anyone out there has had the same problem and how they've fixed it, that is if they have.

thanks.

Right click on the programs icon and pick properties - click on compatibility -- pick -- 98. Might help you out.

dv 2800 doesn't work on winxp

Hi,

same issue for me
I have the card on winxp.
I have installed the latest sw from the web site version 2.87.

Still the damn thing crashes when I run the dv2800.exe
Even if I set the compatibility mode to windows 98 it still will not work.

Any ideas?

Yes I have the same problem as well. I did submit a problem report where they said it was my hardware. I know this was rubbish because I have written my own application for the card which works perfectly.
