Where is my SATA Drive?

Howdy all.
I've recently bought a 200gb Maxtor Diamondplus 9 drive to use mainly for storage (although eventually it will be the boot drive). I currently have two IDE drives (not SATA). I've physically installed the SATA one (its in the case and plugged in) but it's not showing up anywhere in Windows . I've changed all my BIOS settings so that SATA is enabled, but it's still nowhere to be seen. I was given a floppy disk containing the SATA RAID drivers but there doesn't seem to be anything useful on there! Only a RAID amnagement util, an uninstall util and plenty of random .dll's. I've even downloaded a programme called Maxblast4 from the Maxtor website that creates a bootable floppy which is supposed to install the SATA drivers but that keeps installing drivers for the DVD burner instead ( ).

Does anyone have any good ideas? Thanks in advance...

The system is:
AMD Athlon 64 3400
MSI K8N Neo Platinum
1GB PC400 DDR (Samsung)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
Sony DW-700 DVD Burner
2x80Gb Seagate HDD (NOT in RAID)

Here's a site talking about it:

Check out the last post stating: modify your boot.ini to look at the channel your Raptor was installed on first (you change the IDE channel manually in notepad)...

Just a quick update. I've now sorted the problem. The reason it wasn't working was the f***ing power lead was duff! I am so p***ed off with it I'm getting a new one monday! I only noticed it was a duff when one of my optical drives kept disappearing then re-appearing, which is why windows picked up on the drive at first, then lost it.
Thanks for the help anyway Patriot - it's always worth a try.

NEVER BUY Q-TEC POWER SUPPLIES!!!!!!
