Wireless Network w/XBOX Live lag problem

Hi, Ive had a wireless network for a long time now. Recently, Easter sunday i came home from airsoft and booted my laptop. The wirless card couldnt cnnect properly after many tries, same with my other comp. So I reset my Router (Linksys BEFW11S4 V4) and set it up again several times until I got it to work. Now for my XBOX I use D-Link DWL-810+ to connect to the network, and I had to reconfigure this device also. So, this is the problem, my network is active and running, i notice no problem on my two comps, but, my XBOX when I play over Live lags. im usually in the yellow, when i was always green. I use 128 bit WEP encryption and my MTU is 1500 also by default it uses DHCP to assign IP's.

What could be the issue, and how can I fix it?

Same this happen to me and i too have a befw11s4 exept i got a wga11b hooked to a ps2. This makes me think its router side and not the wga11b (thats what i was thinking) I tried updated the firmware but haven't gotten back to see if it still lags. Ill replay back if it indead fixes it.

i think i managed to fix the problem, i put my D-Link DWL-810+ on the DMZ, of the router, and it seems to work without a problem.

how do I put it on the dmz. Do you do the IP of the device (your D-link thing my wga thing, because i cant find an ip for the WGA) or what?

ok, first you need to set a static ip to your client (wga11b) refer to the manual for that, then in the admin settings of the router you find DMZ and set that ip address.


P.S. make sure you have the lates firmware for both
