Machine Re-Boots on its own !!

Can anyone help me?

When I switch my machine off in the normal manner, XP closes and then immediately re-starts. I have to jump in quick and switch the computer off at the mains before it gets a chance to run the POST again. Any ideas anyone??

Start - control panel - system - advanced - startup and recovery - uncheck > auto restart
