anyone know how i can remove the creative stuff

I installed a driver from creative europe a while back and when i go to my graphics card options in the desplay options it says creative all over. The card still works and all so its not really a problem i was just interested on how i could remove all that since the new driver is now out.

also, is it just drivers, or the lovely suite of apps that creative labs so generously provides for all your hair pulling pleasure?

if it is the drivers, try going to the control panel>add/remove programs. look for anything that says "creative labs" or soundblaster(soundcard) , or annihilator, or whatever card you own. click remove. simple enough.

if it ain't there, go to control panel>system>hardware tab>device manager, then highlight the device, and click uninstall, then reboot, and when the device is recognized, point the installation wizard towards your new drivers.

for the apps that creative bundles with the drivers, you should be able to take them out from the add/remove programs window in the control panel.

And if I remember correctly, Creative gives you a selection of extras to install if you pick "custom install".
