problem booting
hi all,
My computer wont boot../ or wont go past the F8 options page( I'm using win xp pro)
it began by giving an error 4x80004005(i'm not sure if the first digit was 4....i guess it was 0) it would go somuch time into the boot and restart again..or hang ...typically as far as it shows the welcome page and goes back to start....
so i thought i would upgrade the os and tried, which wouldnt be.. it would also go back a time in the middle without finishing the job... install a new copy.. or formatting and re trying a fresh install all the same...
so i found another system to load the os in(erasing and reformatting the hd).. and it installed fine on my hd.. and it restarts after the boot options page when i connect it in my computer.
i tried to load linux on another hard disk in my computer .. it wouldnot go full...
i actually had cleaned the computer of dust prior to getting back the monitor from the service center , after which i re assembled the computer.. and it booted as usual.. then the second time it began to show problems as above.......
i also thought that i conected the floppy connector badly( red on the motherboard connector and red of the power connector were not facing each other, later connected it that way as they see eachother..) and the problem still is......
every thing i try to load does not go more than the "re-boot cutoff point" where it either lays hang or re-boots.
linux, windows xp, anything etc
mine is a P3 1 ghz processor system with 192 mb ram.
i tried getting it done with just the cd rom drive and the hd connected . it was not different... it hangs in the middle or it re-boots
please help .....
thank you
helion.
