Angry Cant Access Hard Drive

I just upgraded my computer and everything on it is new except for my old hard drive. I set my new hard drive as the master and installed the operating system on it then i put my old hard drive as the slave. I can start up my computer just fine but i cant access my old hard drive. My old hard drive and new one have windows xp home. I am trying to get all of my files off my old hard drive and put on my new one then reformat it but it doesnt show up. I went into manage on my computer and it shows my old hard drive in there and it says its online and active. It also doesnt show up on my computer in disk drives. HELP ME PLEASE!!!

check your bios to see if you have select auto find on the slave first
if it is then move the hard drive jumper to cable select
