USB query

My friend has just purchaced a video camera.
after installing the supplied software on the computer then pluging in the camera in the usb port he gets the following error message.

Device can perform faster if you connect to a high speed USB.2.0 port

For a list click here.

There are no high speed USB host controllers installed on this computer

The computer has six usb ports 4 on the back 2 on the front.
so we do not understand why the error.
The PC is a p-4 1.6 256 ram.
Any advice is much appreaciated

I would ignore that error. If you have P4 system then that means you do have USB 2.0 hardware and if you have Windows 98SE or better operating system then you software would support it too.... I guess the software has the warning it it just in case for people with-out USB 2.0.

Cheers

Hello all
And thanks for the replys
I since found out that you need a firewire card to download video from your video camera. The camera we were trying to use also has a XD memory card for stills. when i tried downloading i think maybe because there was no stills on the camera could have had something to do with the error message.
Any buying a firewire card this week to see how it goes then.
Thank again for the advice
