Webcam Is Green

Hey everyone im a newbie to the boards but I have a question. I just recently bought a new webcam no matter what light or settings I have for it. its green. It was fine the first time I used it on my grandmas computer. But for some reason once I got it home to mine it started doing this. I had win xp install everything on my comp but I believe I used the cd for it on my grandmas. Im not sure if I still have the cd (still unpacking). If I do have it should i reinstall the drivers and such using the cd.

Yes. Installing drivers for specific hardware usually solves most weird problems...What driver were you using on your machine, a standard Windows XP driver? they sometimes work but usually you need the manufacturer's special driver instead, especially if Strange Things like green webcam output happens.

If you can't find the driver CD, you can always use google.com (google is your friend, use it!) and find the manufacturer's website where they will probably have downloadable drivers for your webcam. The website usually carries the most up-to-date driver too, so it may be more compatible than the one you have on your driver CD.
