XP Setup Won't Recognize drive
Hi all- This is my first post here on the tips n tricks forums.
Here's my issue:
XP was running fine off my 120 gb SATA drive until I ran disk cleanup one day... windows started to freeze up, and when I restarted Windows will boot normally up until the Windows Xp loading screen (the one with the little blue bar going back and forth).
Now, it freezes and I get a BSOD, then the comp restarts. I've run diagnostics using seatools and it does show a few sectors being corrupt.
When I do a new install of Windows XP (booting from the CD) I load the SATA drivers from a disk (pressing F6) but still Windows setup says "hard disk not found." What do I do?
