Lcd or display adapter problem??

Hello,

I have really odd and serious problem.

My lcd monitor has worked fine but after it was at maintenance it doesn't have worked.

I have NVidia GeForce MX5200 adapter and my lcd is plugged via dvi. No possibility for vga connection.
When I boot my computer I cannot see a thing, my monitor stays blank.
After Windows is logged the screen works fine. Before that it nothing, only "no signal" on screen.

That causes that I cannot for example configure my bios settings 'cause I cannot see a thing in booting session.

I have Windows 2000 and Linux Fedora Core 4 installed but only under Windows my monitor is working. When I try to start Linux it stays blank

I was using tv-out when my monitor was in maintenance.
And some time regular monitor with the help of dvi->vga adapter but mainly I used only the tv-out option.

And I have tried to unplugg the tv-out and then restart my computer but with no results.

Is there somekind of conflict on my display adapter or is my lcd broken or what the heck?

Anyone had samekind of problems and how to fix this?

My next step would be to get hold of a cheap standard graphics card with normal analogue-out D-sub connector. Install it along with it's driver, connect your monitor to it (I assume the monitor has dual inputs). If it works, there are still two possibilities -- (a) The DVI input on the monitor is faulty, or (b) the NVIDIA DVI card is faulty.
My mony's on the graphics card being faulty. A monitor either works or it doesn't -- I've never heard of analog input working but DVI-input not working. Could also be the DVI lead -- thought of changing it?

Problem stays

Ok, I tried to connect my Lcd with vga wire and plugged it on d-sub and I got no results.
My monitor gets signal now but there is no picture on screen.
And now not even when Windows is logged on!
Makes me think that display adapter is broken?
Am I right?

Cause it seems like that it won't get any analog signal?

When I re-connected it with dvi I get picture when Windows is logged on but not until then.

And I have the graphic card with dvi only so I have to put dvi->vga adapter on it.
Is there any possibility that this causes some problems when it's connected with vga?
