Red face New MOBO no sound

So I brough myself the MSI MS6728 865PE Neo2-P Platinum Edition mother Board.

I've installed the AC97 Audio driver which I was intructed to do, and yet still no sound. I'm pretty sure I've set the motherboard up correctly as everything else seems to be working, but not 100%
I've also updated to the lastest audio driver and checked the BIOS.

Any ideas? please help!

Create a System Restore Point just in case

Have a look here,http://www.msi.com.tw/program/suppor...UID=556&kind=1 all drivers for your board listed, when this problem occurs you need to install the INF chipset driver first, then any other drivers afterwards, this seems to be common to all Intel boards, to get this information in future search for 865PE on the site.

Hope this helps

If you have the necessary drivers installed and ac97 is enabled in bios then there isn't much more you can do except to return the motherboard or add a sound card.
