I was just poking around there and came across this....

Could it have anything to do with my problem?
Everything else is functioning correctly

Just curious about how you got the bios re-installed. I need some help on this matter.

I have an Asus motherboard that I have to revise the bios on.
DId you follow the instructions that they give on the Asus website.

Fill me in on how you did it. I would appreciate it being as specific as possible. I don't want to mess it up.

It appears that the bios update has somehow deleted your driver for your agp bus controller, this driver should be on your m/board driver disk, and yes it is the cause of your problem.

What m/board do you have and what bios did you flash to?

Did your m/board driver disk have AsusLiveUpdate included on it? It is a lot easier to use from within Windows than using Afudos and as you have no floppy it becomes a moot point.

I have looked at your m/board page at Asus site again and see no mention of LiveUpdate

LiveUpdate d/load can be found HERE

I really don't know if it will work on your board, maybe you could register at Asus for their forum and ask if this application is applicable for your m/board.

I use LiveUpdate to flash my bios, it is simple and trouble free.

I think i have it back on again. I rolled back the drviers for the CPU to AGP (i think) thingy. I have an Asus P4V8X-X motherboard and i used the AsusUpdate program that came with the CD. I downloaded the Bios from the asus website and ran update from file. I used this P4V8X-X Beta BIOS 1009.008 bios which is the latest one im sure

I tend to stay away from beta releases because they can cause more problems than they're worth good to see you got it fixed.

They appear to have missed your post. Start a new thread, you will most likley get an answer that way.

Hope this helps
