slave hard drive problem

hey there, i did a search and didnt find a thread that explained my problem.

heres the problemo:

today, i was about to play a game of star wars galaxies (a game on my slave drive) when the auto patch downloads never finished. so i restarted my computer and tried again. this time, my computer froze, and i was forced to pull the plug. when i started the computer up again, it tells me that my D drive (secondary/slave) cant be located, and it doesnt show under my disk drives in my computer. but when i go to control panel>system>device manager>disk drives, it still says that both my primary and slave drives are there. anyone have any idea whats happening?

im running win xp btw

Hi, Go back to DEVICE MANAGER and remove the Drive. upon Reboot, Windoze will reinstall it. If you are lucky Windoze will get it right and you will be back in business. If that doesn't work, try it in SAFE MODE. Remove all Hdrives that you no longer have. Luck, Jim
