Unhappy Is It My VGA Slot?

hi there not to sure if this Q has cum up b4.

I am having difficulty with my motherboad. when i run games tht use a wee bit of my video card afetr a while the pc system while totally cut out. i previously bought a 256mn video card and this happend so i took this card back and got a refund. i then bought a different one but still a 256mb.
then it cut out again....is it my VGA slot? or it is my system cant handle the power for the 256mb? i dnt know if the power supply is cutting out or if it might be my processor.

i have an interl pentium 4 prosseor and it is meant to be a dual core...however, am not to sure on how to check this???

anyone got any help or info plz help !!!??

Download AIDA32 (Free Version) from the link below to find out more detail about your system........It will tell you if your system is under powered or not... Also, find out how many watt power supply you have on your computer (a visual inspection on the back of the computer will tell you that).. post the system info back in here, may be someone could help you more.
