Can't get DLINK wireless print server to work with Blitzz router

I'm having problems establishing a static DHCP IP address for a TCPIP LPR printer port (running Win XP professional) for my new wireless print server in my router's settings. If I assign the IP address for the print server within the range of the router's DHCP addresses, the router tells me this is an error when I go to save the config. If I set the DHCP address range in the router so it excludes the fixed IP address set up on the print server, the print server does not connect to the router's lan with that IP address, but one in the router's dhcp range. Unfortunately, this not be the same IP address as the LPR port defined for the PC's printer setting in Windows. The print server URL software will only allow me to define a IP address and subnet with no gateway, so I can't seem to make the print server point at the router's IP address as the gateway with its fixed IP address. D-Link tells me to reference the router's instructions, but it appears BLITZZ is out of business and their support url is gone. What am I doing wrong?
