Geforce 5200 256mb trouble

Hi Guys,

Just bought myself a brand new geforce 5200 256mb card, but I having some troubel with it.

When I install the card and restart my computer, all I get is 4bit colour an screen res of 800x600....
When I look in SYSTEM, DEVICE manager my video card tells me: not enough recources, code12
Can somebody help me out?

My system:
PIII 500mhz 256mb
HD1 15G
HD2 80G
HD3 scssi HD 12GB
Sound Card: creative 64
standard network card
BIOS award
