When I go into Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager: There should be an option for Network Adapters all the time, right? Well... I don't have one, so I was wondering if anyone on here can give me some advice on what to do? Thank you for your time and effort.

Hi, If you have a network card you should see a 8 pin connector on the back of the computer that looks like a telephone jack only a bit larger. If you find that then if your MB has the card built in you will need the MB drivers. If not on the MB you will need the card drivers. If XP it should pick the card up automatically if one is there. Good Luck, Jim

Check device manager for network adaptors, if they don't appear, then check in bios to see if it is disabled.

If its disabled, obviously enable it, then load back into windows, all should be well.
For some reason, if that fails, and its a PCI card, take it out, and re-seat it, should work, if onboard card, will be faulty and needs to be replaced.
