hi i have a problem with my toshiba satellite m70-144. The screen as got lines coming down in a block about 3 inches wide then a gap of 3 inches then more lines in another block, then none. If i put the screen res up to high 32 i get even more lines about 1.5 inches apart . also when i slide the mouse icon through it it leaves a red trail from where its been,

any ideas ????

Try turning the hardware acceleration down

This is usually a problem with the video controller on the laptop motherboard. In some rare cases a loose connector to the screen can cause this as well. How old is the system?
