I have a brand new Dell E310 at home. I tryed to burn a DVD, and it said that there are copyright laws on the disc. Is there any ways that i can get around this?

I think he means that he can't get around it. It won't let him due to DRM. Google around and you will find a lot of tools to get past this.

Here's a tutorial

Please clarify. Did you try to make a straight copy of a commercial disc? If so, you must decrypt the disc first. Then, if trying to fit it on a single layer recordable, you generally must transcode or re-encode. Look here:

Get DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter, and be sure to read a couple guides. If neither works, you probably have an ARccOS disc (Sony, et.al.). That's a bit more complicated, but doable. Post back and good luck.
