No Sound In My Windows Xp Sp2

DEAR MEMBERS,

SOUND IS NOT PLAYING IN MY WINDOWS XP FOR THE LAST 10 DAYS.
I HAVE UPDATED THE DRIVERS WITH VARIOUS DRIVERS DOWNLOAD FROM INTERNET. STILL THERE IS NO SOUND. BUT THERE IS SOME NOISE COMING FROM THE SPEAKER WHEN IT IS IN FULL SOUND. WHEN I PLAY VIDEO FILES IN MEDIA PLAYER ONLY THE VIDEO PART IS PLAYING , THE AUDIO NOT AVAILABLE.

IN THE VOLUME CONTROL PANEL I AM UNABLE TO MOVER THE ARROW MARKS (ie- left and right which is in grey color).

IF I CLICK THE MUTE ALL - TICK BOX IT GIVES BEEP SOUND.

I AM GIVING MY SYSTEM DETAILS USING THE BELARC ADVISOR SOFTWARE BELOW:

have you tried going to device manager and uninstalling your device then letting the computer install the default driver? That should reinstall with default settings in case something was accidentally disabled.

PS. Download the driver first so you have it in case windows cannot locate the default.

After doing that reinstall go to your control panel and open up the sound panel and click thorugh the tabs and make sure nothing is disabled.
