Scanner only scanning red!

I have a problem with my scanner, a lexmark x215
When ever I scan something, it turns out like this:

Just incase you'd need to know I'm running on Windows XP home
I restored settings to default but nothing happens.
If any one could help I would greatly appreciate it,
