Setting Ntfs to primary

how to set a ntfs partition to primary via winxp cd or win98.. i cant see the ntfs on win98 cd so i cant fdisk the partition..winxp cd have no fdisk?or i dunno how to make a partition to become a primary there.

my problem is this>
c: corrupted win (formatted) > primary
f: ntfs > i want this to become primary so i can boot my winxp.

i have partition magic but my second hard drive(im using now) have problems connecting with other HD(IDE prob).. so my only route is via ms-dos or winxp/win98/win2000 cd's?? pls help..

What you would have to do is open your case up and change the jumper settings on the back of the hard drive.

one should be set as slave the other master. swap them round so the slave says master and the master says slave.

jumper settings should be displayed on the hard drive

have fun

When you format your pc just format the drive you want as NTFS?

Delete the F drive...and the C just make that the NTFS drive when its formatted.

Here Is Very Simple Trick
Just Insert Your Xp Cd In Cdrom
First Boot Cd
It Ask Which Drive You Want To Install
Select Format The Partition Using Fat32 Partition.
100% Problem Solved.
