Power went out PC only starts Safe Mode

So yea, I was basically just watching tv, left my computer on as normal, the power flickered, and my computer shut off. (There's a possible hurricane/storm outside.) I had to unplug the power cable from the back in order to be able to start. I let it go as normal but it only got as far as the Windows XP start screen. The bar didn't freeze, just kept going. So now I can only start this thing in Safe Mode. Any ideas as to what I should do?

Hi mate,

This might not work for you, but try this.

Safe mode as per normal -
Start -
Run -
Msconfig
Boot.INI

Makde sure

Make sure there's something in there to do with Windowx XP Home Edition, if there is, select it and choose "set as default"

Click ok and restart.
