hd looks fine

hey,
well it seems that your hd might be fine because the computer first uses the mother board before booting the hd to start your operating system.
can you not even get into your BIOS?
i think your motherboard or processor have problems...

similar problem

I have a Dell 9100, a great laptop until recently. I moved my laptop the other day while it was on my lap and it shut off. Since then, I have had real problems getting it to turn back on. However, once it is on, it will work all day perfectly, as long as you do not move it. But, sometimes it takes up to 20 tries to finally turn on. Also, if you plug in the battery while it is running it sometimes shut off. If someone is reading this post, please help, as this is my livelyhood. Thanks.
