Hard disk problem

Hi all,

I have a Samsung Harddisk (size 40GB), which has 3MB in Bad sector in c:.
I am not able to install any windows OS (Win98 to Win 2003 server) properly, though LINUX installs very nicely. Is there any virus problem ? I have reformatted whole drive.
Any suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated.

cd error, hd error, mobo error etc.

type the exact error.
