Unhappy ext3 to NTFS?

I recently started using a Linsys NSLU2 - a device that connects external storage to your network. I plugged in my 2.5" external and had the device format it, and it formatted it in ext3 (a linux filesystem) instead of NTFS. Now, since I run Windows and since Windows doesn't support ext3, I can't access it any other way than by connecting it to the NSLU2.

Is there any way I can reformat it to NTFS? Or is there any way I can access it through my computer's USB ports? When I plug it in, the computer recognizes that there is an external HDD attached but it doesn't read from it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan

Since I made the thread I've thought of two ways to reformat/access the HDD. I could take it out of the external case and install it in my laptop to reformat it or I could install Linux on my system to access it. If there are any easier ways I would love to hear them.

Thanks,
Bryan
