Startup problem
Ok, on startup I got a message to run chkdsk. It asked me if I wanted it to run on next startup and I said yes. But it wouldn't run at startup.
I decided to live with it as the pc was working ok otherwise. Then a cirucit breaker tripped in the house and cut the power to the PC. On startup, I got the option to restart normally or in safe mode. No matter what option I try, Windows XP starts to run (I get as far as the blue bar scrolling on the screen) and then the PC restarts and I go through the whole thing again.
Ome thing I noticed is that as windows starts up, the blue scrolling bar briefly disappears and the PC 'blue screens' before restarting. It happens very quick, but I just made out something about chkdsk before it automatically reboots.
Thing is, I can't get into the C drive and I am stuck in this loop.
What can I do to resolve this?
Thanks.
