Computer stop errors and random freezing!

Hi! I've been having trouble with my computer for a couple of months now and I've tried everything, updated my bios, removed lots of programs etc. I've looked through countless webpages, forums, help sites everything and nothing I try will work and it's becoming frustrating beyond belief!

Basically my computer has lots of stop errors (0x0000008e, 0x00000050, 0x0000000a) which I've managed to stop by turning my hardware acceleration right down in my graphics options.

But now my computer keeps freezing, just stopping. I looked in event viewer at the system crashes and this is what they say:

The NaiAvFilter1 service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

also:

Time Provider NtpClient: An error occurred during DNS lookup of the manually configured peer 'time.windows.com,0x1'. NtpClient will try the DNS lookup again in 15 minutes. The error was: A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host. (0x80072751)

and:

The GlobeSpan USB ADSL Loader service failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. (this seems to be the majority of them)

And I have warnings saying:

Your computer has automatically configured the IP address for the Network Card with network address 0090963CC6DD. The IP address being used is 169.254.97.216.

and:

Windows Defender Real-Time Protection agent has detected spyware or other potentially unwanted software.

There are a few more warnings and errors but I want to get this posted before my computer crashes again! I would really really really appreciate any help you can give me! Thanks

edit: Adding system specs

AMD Athlon 2800+
1024mb RAM
ASUS A7V600 Motherboard
Radeon 9600 256MB

Thanks

Download the memory checker from ms.com

http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

You can find it on the above link.

I did a search on MS.com for you on 0x0000008e, its pointing towards a RAM issue.
Details below.
