Can't open diskette file

I am trying to open a file stored on a diskette in my "A" drive. When I click on the one and only file there (Quattro Pro file), the cpu sounds like it is stuck in a loop and the file never gets opened more than 80%. Finally an error message comes on screen: General OLE Error (error code:80070017). After that message is another message: Error reading a file: A:/file name.wb3 {File Open}.

How can I get my file opened?

If possible, try the diskette on another PC with Quattro. The file or the diskette itself might be trashed. With the OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) error message, more likely the file is corrupted. As I have seen diskettes get corrupted many times, NEVER keep the only copy of a file on a diskette, that's just asking for trouble.
