I have a Seagate 300 HD in a USB enclosure. I have been downloading music on it for a few months and everything was working fine. For a while I attempted to access the drive although the it wasn't recognized by the OS and asked if I wanted to format the drive, Partition Magic recognized the drive. This will happen on my Desktop as well as my Laptop.
Now, when I try to access the drive it freezes the system until I disconnect the HD from the USB. I have a lot of music on this drive and I would hate to loose it.
Can anyone give me a possible solution to recover the data or get this drive working even if it's for a short time, long enough to transfer the files? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
