Sandisk USB drive speed, too slow.
Hey everyone, I have recently purchased a Sandisk 4GB USB thumbdrive, and it seems to be going really slow.
Here's how I got it. I have a Sandisk Sansa e250 mp3 player, and I can transfer about 3.5 GB of data to it in about 20 minutes. Then I purchased a Lexar Firefly USB drive and 3.5 GB of data took over an hour to transfer. So I returned it. I purchased the Sandisk 4GB USB drive, and it is also taking over an hour to transfer the 3.5GB of data. I purchased the Sandisk thinking that it would be as fast as my Sandisk mp3 player.
Is my mp3 player just extremely fast, or is there something wrong with my thumb drives. Is that speed normal for a usb 2.0 drive? And yes, they are plugged into 2.0 usb slots.
Thanks.
