Installed Microsoft Hotfixes [Back to Top]

First try this

Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply > click Start > Reboot.

now a shot in the dark are your radio jacks between your monitor socket and your usb, if they are it's CS4299 Crystal audio try this driver

Register at driverguide http://members.driverguide.com/ums/index.php?action=r

select Not this time to offers

Login and follow path Sound Card > 16: Crystal Semiconductors . 13: CS4299 AC'97

DON'T FORGET THE RESTORE POINT JUST IN CASE

Hope this helps

Next to the recessed section on the back where your mouse + keyboard usb and monitor sockets there are a row of PCI slots, are your audio jacks in one of these PCI slots.

You need to register at driverguide http://members.driverguide.com/ums/index.php?action=r

login, say no to offers / Middle pane Driver Search Wizard - 1-3 / Sound card / 18 Crystal semiconductors / 13 CS4299 AC97

SET A SYSTM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE

Hope this helps

Just checking that the file was MB091ADD.zip,( just been to driverguide site, the path had changed so be sure it is the CS4299 AC'97 ) if so look here, this is the clearest explanation on how to install, http://72.29.80.128/Forum/index.php?topic=76.0

DONT'T FORGET THE RESTORE POINT

Cheers
