Biostar M7NCD mbo & Atlon XP M (mobile) CP

I've installed the Biostar M7NCD motherboard, brand new, with the ATHLON XP M (mobile) 3000+ CPU, brand new, and can not get thru the Windows XP install.

The CMOS sets up fine but XP install freezes at various points. The at best I've gotten is the 33 min point.

I've checked by replacement with known working components.

HDD 80 MB Western Digital, Tried Seagate 160MB
Video card BFG GeForce 6800 GS 256MB APG, tried XFX 5700LE
Memory 1GB (2 512Mb) Samsung, tried 1GB Kingston
Windoiws XP Software, three different packages, with and w/o SP2
Reset CMOS
Replaced CMOS battery
Replaced IDE cable
Tried installing with only one 1 512 memory chip
Tried both memory slots
CMOS sees no temp problem

Nothing helps. According to my research the XP M CPU is marketed for Laptop use but should work in a desktop. It is just a carefully selected XP that will run on a lower voltage.

Any ideas?

David

Part of Biostar M7NCD problem solved.

Set FSB at 133 and memory at auto and got windows to install.

Unfortunately the cpu is reported as an "Athlon XP mobile 800MHZ". Obviously this is incorrect for a 2.2 GHZ processor.

Can anyone please help suggesting some FSB and Memory settings that would more correct.
