I bought Kingstone USB DataTraveler 1 (1Gb) and during connection of this usb drive to 4 port hub not self-powered I receive message ‘USB hub power exceeded' , and this device don’t connect to pc, but when I connect it (USB DataTraveler 1 (1Gb)) directly to USb out from mother board it works.
I also have DELL usb Flash drive (64 mb capacity) that work perfectly with described above
Usb external not self power hub. May be somebody heard about this malfunction or may be it is a new standard in manufacturing Usb flash drives and only Usb flash drives of small capacities able to work via USB external hubs.
This is look of my hub with 3 connected devices to it, among them DELL (64mb)USB flash device that work under 90mA current:

And this is Kingstone USB DataTraveler 1 (1Gb) connected to usb root hub on mother board, and it consume 200mA current:

My be somebody who use Usb flash drives can write how much his usb flash drive consume, at once it well be clear where my USB flash drive malfunctioning or it is the way all usb flash drives of large capacities work.
To check current consumption of device connected to USb go to:
Control Panel>system>Hardware>Device manager
Open the tree Universal Serial Bus controllers
If using external not self powered usb hub to check current consumption of devices connected to it, double click on XXXX USB Hub and open tab power, and if device connected to usb on mother board do the some thing as described above with USB Root Hub.
