Hi i just checked for the Microsoft UAA driver and as you suspected it wasn't there however the link you provided me with sent me to a "driver robot"? which, when run doesnt suggest the driver you are saying, it says that all my audio drivers are up to date. Theres a few chipset updates USB controllers and that sort of thing?

ok i had a look in system devices there in the device manager and right enough the Microsoft UAA had been disabled. I enabled it and then an IDT High Def Audio Codec was found with a yellow question mark beside it?
