once it has been restarted a little pop up tells me it has detected multimedia audio controller and then it fails on me again telling me The Data is Invalid.

i feel like im going in circles.

i have gone to add and remove programs to remove realtek and install it again but as i said im going in circles

So

I have done this

- numerously have tried to download Realtek AC97 Driver from the Gigabyte site, the Realtek Site and even download.com

computer downloads it restarts my computer then i get a pop up saying

'The Data Is Invalid

- I then have installed the chipset as recommended later. Then the driver i still get the same message

- I have checked my Bios and expected to see [disabled] but it was already set to [auto], i set it to [auto] even so and confirmed it

i then installed my driver and still get 'The Data Is invalid'

So driver, chipset and even BIOS. Whats the matter with it? I know the sound is there. I just reformatted my computer, I have not touched my motherboard.

Is this a hopeless fight? What can i do now?
