Bad Sound Drivers

Or some such thing....

Hey, I just formatted my computer, re-installed Win XP, yada yada yada. Problem is that it can't pick up any sound card now. I didn't notice anything until I tried to use Windows Movie Maker, and it wouldn't load because it didn't detect any audio hardware. When I try to re-install the drivers, it can't find anything on my CD. When I load up device manager, under 'unknown devices' it shows "multimedia controller device" and thats it.

Any help would be appreciated!

need a little more info, make and model or if not sure Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.
