Laptop Power Input Problem or Charger!!!

Hiya...erm I'm not sure if this is the exact place to put this thread, but I'm hoping you people could help me!
I was playing my laptop last night and I must av fell asleep and my laptop fell onto the floor!
Now...when I went to use my laptop, I plugged in my charger and then connected it to the power input of my laptop and the charger LED went out!
There was a spark from the power outlet of my laptop and now I'm unable to charge my laptop!
The laptop is a Medion MD2952 so I was wondering if anyone has got any info of whether it woudl be the charger playing about or the laptop. I tried opening the laptop but failed to...and I dont know if Im able to buy the power output to fit the new one.

It should be OK in this part of the forum as it's hardware.

I'm afraid to say your charger has more than likely blown your motherboard on your laptop, so getting a new charger may be a waste of time without having a working lappy to test it on.

1 thing I always do on laptops is make sure the charging pin is inside the hole, if it's not there, then you need to get your motherboard replaced on the laptop and then send in you charger too!
