having problems LightScribe DVD Supermulti Drive / CD writer

hey guys i could really use some help my LightScribe DVD Supermulti Drive / CD writeris not recognizing my LightScribe disks or any other disks . it keeps telling me to insert a blank disk but they are brand new . i tryed everything i could think of . i even googled it and I still can't find anything that works. Please help me!

I just got

Error: 'START DAO RECORDING' command fail on devise 1:0:0
Read/Write error or bad medium detected (04h 00h 02h 03h 06h F4h)

My bro said he might have deleted one of the drives and we dont have any of the disks is there any way to get it back with out the disk(s)? or does my problem lie else where? can someone PLEASE help me?!

Any deleted optical drive should be detected and re-installed upon reboot.

To start with the obvious: reseat all connections, maybe replace cabling.

Do you have more than one burning program? Any packet-writing software such as InCD, etc? Best not to have redundant, possibly conflicting burning progs. Packet-writing apps are notoriously prone to problems.

Then there's always the possibility the DVD drive is buggered. Good luck.
